The Life Imitating Art series features contemporary scenes of London but incorporates characters and objects lifted from art historical references.
Originally, I had intended to limit these to four settings depicting south of the Thames, north of the Thames, the East End and the West End but
an inability to choose between two ideas for the West End lead to my doing a fifth etching. I now see this as a continuing series and am currently
working on a pair for Life Imitating Art IX and have started drawings for another large scale piece.

Wings of Desire is a series where a romantic narrative has been created
by the London locations depicted. They are Adam and Eve Mews W8,
Bride Lane EC4, The Mount NW3 and Childs Mews SW5.
As in Life Imitating Art, the angels have been borrowed from great
paintings by Botticelli, Poussin, Rubens and Murillo respectively.
